• Introduction

    On the edge of the fens, Peakirk is a village about 5 miles north of Peterborough. St Pega reportedly lived here in the early 8th century and Peakirk is named after her (being a version of "Pegas kirk", Pegas' church).

  • Neighbourhood plan referendum will be on 6 July 2017

    Peterborough City Council announced today that the referendum on the Peakirk Neighbourhood Plan will be on 6 July 2017.

    Referendum date set for Peakirk Neighbourhood Plan

  • Church clean up - thanks to all involved

    On Saturday 20th May, a good team turned out to give St Pegas church a spring clean, both inside and out. Thanks to all involved who came to dust, polish, wax, remove moss, remove ivy, prune or any one of a number of other jobs.

    The church looks wonderful for it.

  • Agenda for Annual Parish Council Meeting - May 15th

    The Annual Parish Council meeting will be held on Monday 15th May in the Village Hall. Agenda attached.

  • Neighbourhood plan review complete

    I am pleased to let you know that:

    'Subject to a number of recommendations (principally for changes to the way in which certain policies are expressed), I have concluded that the Peakirk Neighbourhood Plan meets all the necessary legal requirements at this stage of its preparation, and consequently am pleased to recommend that it should proceed to referendum.

  • Annual Parish Meeting

    Peakirk's Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Monday 8th May, commencing at 7.00pm in the Village Hall. There will be reports from village organisations and an opportunity to give your views on speeding in the village.
    The formal agenda for the meeting is attached.
