ST. PEGA'S CHURCH - FEBRUARY/MARCH NEWSLETER
ST. PEGA’S CHURCH
ST. PEGA’S CAFE BRUNCH
An excellent breakfast was enjoyed at Peakirk's famous brunch on Sunday 5th Feb by early and late comers alike. Our twice-yearly brunch is a great family occasion; a chance to relax over a leisurely full English or continental breakfast, to see old friends and acquaintances, and to meet new ones.
We look forward to seeing you at the next one later this year - so look out for the date in the Tribune.
The annual Lent Lunch will be held on Wednesday, 15th March from 12 noon to 2.00pm at 3 The Park, Peakirk.
To help with catering, please confirm your attendance by telephoning Sheila on 01733 252416 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
APPOINTMENT OF NEW PRIEST
Just a reminder that Mark-Aaron Tisdale will be instituted as Rector of the Benefice by the Bishop of Peterborough at St Benedict’s, Glinton on Sunday 19 March at 4 pm. Regrettably seating is limited therefore it is by invitation only. If you would like to attend and haven’t received an invitation, please contact Sheila Lever on 01733 252416 to check if there are any spare seats.
MOTHERING SUNDAY SERVICE AT ST. PEGA’S
Our annual Mothering Sunday Service will be held on Sunday, 26th March at 10.30am.
Further details to follow shortly, this will include a craft session for the children to make a small gift for their Mum; flowers to take home and finish with refreshments.
SPRING CLEAN SUNDAY
We are planning another Spring Clean Sunday shortly – our last one was held two years ago. We had a wonderful response then to our request for volunteers to help with the various jobs. A flyer will be going round the village shortly – even if you can only spare a half hour, we would be very grateful of your help.
Free refreshments and drinks available for the workers!
Don’t forget that there is a Prayer Board just inside the church where you can leave a message for your prayer to be included in our Sunday services.
Please contact us If you wish to add your name to the church flower rota. Flowers can be put in church in memory of a loved one.
