ST. PEGA’S CHURCH – APRIL NEWSLETTER

ST. PEGA’S CHURCH – APRIL NEWSLETTER

LENT LUNCH

Our annual lent lunch was very successful; with a choice of three types of soup and fresh farmhouse bread, followed by cheese, celery and grapes. Home-made cakes rounded off the meal, together with a cup of tea/coffee and a good time was enjoyed by all. As an added bonus, £242 was raised for St. Pega’s Church. A very big thank you to all who attended or donated and to our wonderful helpers, as without them it wouldn’t be possible.

 ST. PEGA’S PROJECT

The meeting on Saturday 10th March to explain the project was well attended and Sally Jackson and Trish Roberts explained what was entailed. Working groups were established to carry the project forward.

MOTHERING SUNDAY CELEBRATION SERVICE

We had a good attendance for our special service, with children from 6 weeks to 16 year olds. Colourful cards were beautifully made and presented to their Mums, together with a small bunch of daffodils at the end of the service. The prayer tree was covered with hearts and prayers for mothers/grandmothers.

SERVICE OF MEDITATION & TAIZE MUSIC– 29TH MARCH

The choir were in excellent voice when they joined us for this lovely relaxing service. We hope it will be repeated next year.
