ST. PEGA’S CHURCH NEWS
LENT LUNCH
Our annual lent lunch was very successful; there was a choice of three types of soup with fresh farmhouse bread, followed by celery, cheese and grapes. Home-made cakes rounded off the meal together with a cup of tea/coffee, and a good time was enjoyed by all. £242 was raised for St. Pega’s Church. A very big thank you to all who attended or donated and to our wonderful helpers; as without them it wouldn’t be possible.
MOTHERING SUNDAY CELEBRATION SERVICE
We had a wonderful attendance for our special service, with children from 6 weeks to 16 year olds. Colourful cards were beautifully made and presented to their Mums, together with a small bunch of daffodils at the end of the service. The prayer tree was covered with hearts and prayers for mothers/grandmothers.
CONFIRMATION CLASSES
If anyone is interested in being confirmed, Reverend Mark-Aaron will shortly be organising Confirmation classes for children and adults. Please contact him for more details on 01733 253638.
ST. PEGA’S PROJECT
The meeting on Saturday 10th March to explain the project was well attended and everyone walked over to the church where Sally Jackson and Trish Roberts explained what the project entailed. Working groups were established to carry the project forward.
PEGA’S PCC – ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 18th April at 7.00pm in Church. Everyone is very welcome to attend.
