JUNE NEWSLETTER – ST. PEGA’S CHURCH

RE-OPENING OF ST. PEGA’S CHURCH!  – THE MONTHLY PATTERN OF CHURCH SERVICES IS AS FOLLOWS:

1st Sunday     6.00pm  – BCP Evensong, led by Revd. Mark-Aaron

2nd Sunday    10.30am  – Holy Communion, led by Revd. Mark-Aaron

3rd Sunday    10.30am – Morning Prayer, led by Derek Harris, Lay Reader

4th Sunday    Joint Parish Worship with St. Benedict’s Church, Glinton on Sunday, 27th June – led by Derek Harris, Lay Reader. (Venue is alternated between the two churches each month).

(Please note that when there is a 5th Sunday in the month, a service of Holy Communion is held at 10.30am at one of the five parishes in our Benefice.  Details are published in the Village Tribune or on the church notice board).

On-Line Services

In the meantime, some of our services are still live-streamed on the Benefice Facebook Page and afterwards uploaded to Youtube (search Benefice Rector and click on the 9Bridges Icon).  See below:

Morning Prayer – 8.00am daily Monday to Friday and on Saturday at 9.00am.

Sundays at 10.30am – Holy Communion.

Sundays at 9.00pm – Compline.       Services are streamed live and available afterwards on Youtube.

PERSONAL PRAYER

St. Pega’s is a place of prayer and peace at the heart of the village. The church is now open for Personal Prayer/Reflection every Wednesday morning between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

FOOD BANK

Any items for the Food Bank can be brought on a Wednesday morning between 10.30am and 12.30pm and left in the large plastic box at the back of the church. Donations are gratefully received and passed on to the Food Bank.

TREASURER

 Our present Treasurer at St. Pega’s Church is stepping down and we are looking for a replacement.  If you know of anyone who may be interested, we would be grateful to hear from you.  Please contact Sheila Lever on 01733 252416 or email sheila.lever@btinternet.com for more information.

24 HOUR BRITISH/WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT  WITH ELECTRIC LIPO BATTERY POWERED MODEL AIRCRAFT

Starting on Monday 21st June at 10.00am on Peakirk Village Green and hopefully finishing on Tuesday 22nd June.  Further details are on the attached sheet.
