Harvest Service

St. Pega’s held a lovely Harvest Service with a good attendance.  What an excellent response to our request for much needed donations to the Food Bank in Peterborough.  The following day we handed over a total of 117kg in weight to them and they were very grateful.

We still have a large box for food bank donations at the back of the church which is emptied regularly. Items which are much needed by them are long life fruit juice, pasta sauces, sweet treats and snacks.

All Souls Service – 1st November @ 6.00pm

This is where we hold a service to remember those we have loved but lost, particularly over the previous two years. Personal invitations will be sent out to immediate family members for whom services were taken within the Benefice or at the Crematorium.   Their names are read out loud, prayers are said and a candle is offered to be lit in remembrance of them. We are also collecting names for loved ones lost in the past and there is a list at the back of St. Pega’s Church for you to add their names.

Because of the pandemic, we have very limited space and are holding two services, with the second one at St. Peter’s in Maxey on 2nd November at 2.00pm.

Streamed Services on YouTube

A weekly Holy Communion Service is uploaded to YouTube after the Sunday service at 10.30am.

Also Rev’d Mark-Aaron leads a daily Morning Prayer service which is streamed regularly each morning at 8.00am during the week and 9.00am on Saturdays. On Sundays a Compline Service is held at 9.00pm.To access all of these services go to YouTube, search for Benefice Rector and click on the Nine Bridges Icon.

Fruit & Vegetable Van

Peakirk now has a fruit and vegetable van calling every Tuesday from 12 noon to 2.00pm and is parked in the Ruddy Duck Car Park.  Please do go and support him.

Library in the Bus Stop

If you haven’t already, call in at the library in the bus stop and pick up some interesting books, or if there is space on the shelves take some that you have finished with.
